Full Gut Renovation

This full gut renovation of a two-bedroom apartment in Riverdale, New York was designed to take full advantage of its beautiful natural light and expansive Hudson River views. The goal was to create a warm, highly functional home that felt custom, collected and personal, while still feeling open, bright and connected to the surrounding landscape.

Throughout the apartment, custom millwork became the foundation of the design. Warm wood tones, integrated storage, display cabinetry, slatted details and thoughtfully framed openings helped maximize every inch of this New York City apartment. The kitchen was fully renovated with clean-lined cabinetry, a rich colorful backsplash, improved storage and a casual seating area positioned to enjoy the view.

Color and personality were layered throughout the home, from the soft lavender walls and vivid kitchen tile to the curated collections, artwork and playful decorative details. In the bedroom, a custom wood screen creates a sense of separation and intimacy, while still allowing light and visual connection to flow through the space. The result is a bright, warm and deeply personal home that balances function, craftsmanship and charm.
