New York City

A well traveled couple looking to give their outdated guest bathroom an overdue facelift was inspired by classic Parisian cafes, as well as old New York style tiles for this bathroom renovation. The color scheme we used was black and white, along with traditional style fixtures in a brushed nickel finish. The mosaic floor was important to our client in order to represent that classic prewar new york city look, so we chose a dogbone style mosaic.

The backsplash over the vanity counter is capped by the continuation of the chair rail tile, and pops up over the sink area, which allows the black and white marble countertop to be a focal point in the bathroom.

The modern, barn door style shower doors with stainless steel hardware add a slightly modern and industrial feel to the space. Finally, a wall mounted, fold down teak shower bench offers convenience and a touch of warmth to the room.
