CRAFTED ARTISAN RESIDENCE

This full gut renovation of a two-bedroom apartment in Riverdale NYC was designed to take full advantage of its beautiful natural light and expansive Hudson River views. The goal was to create a warm, highly functional home that felt custom, collected, and personal, while still feeling open, bright, and connected to the surrounding landscape. 

309 SOCIAL CLUB BY BIGVISION

BigVision is a not-for-profit community center in Midtown Manhattan.

Created to support young adults in recovery through educational, recreational, and social programming. As the organization’s first brick-and-mortar location, the goal was to design a welcoming, flexible, and uplifting environment that felt more like a modern social club than an institutional space. 

JAPANDI MODERN APARTMENT

Minimal and modern, with Japanese influence was the look that this client wanted for her home. Her 900 square foot apartment was not just for her, but also for her sweet cat named Masa. Because she worked from home, it was important to maximize the small footprint and create a functional living environment for both of them.

COASTAL VIBES HOUSE

This 5,000 square foot new construction home was built for a family of four in Woodmere, NY. We designed a light and airy Hampton’s feel for their Long Island home, and though the fixtures and furnishings are modern, we added the moldings and paneling throughout to create a classic and transitional look.

UPPER WEST SIDE ARTISAN APARTMENT

This 3,000 sf penthouse apartment with amazing skyline views was fully renovated and decorated for this couple on the Upper West Side. They were downsizing from their family home, and moving into Manhattan to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

We understand that undertaking a design project is a significant investment of both time and resources. That’s why we prioritize clear communication, thoughtful planning, and meticulous attention to detail, creating spaces that are not only beautiful, but functional, enduring, and uniquely yours.

While much of our work focuses on residential interiors, Studio D also designs select commercial and community-based and client facing spaces. For these projects we focus on high-impact spaces that create a strong return on investment including lobbies, reception areas, conference rooms, lounges, and shared gathering spaces.
